Our dark blue paisley silk dressing gown is a new take on classic vintage design. It has hand-stitched quilted silk details on shawl collar, cuffs and pockets, all rendered with elegant gold piping.
The main fabric features a traditional small gold paisley pattern on dark blue ground similar to classic silk ties.
You can order a floor length robe or short smoking jacket. Size and length are completely customizable due to the bespoke nature of our designs.

Silk dressing gowns became popular in the 19th century. Quilted mid-thigh smoking jackets soon evolved from the long dressing gown.
Worn in smoking lounges or in the study, these robes had mainly two functions: to protect a suit from tobacco smoke and keep warm, which is why they were mostly made in thick, smell-absorbing fabric. Dressing gowns and smoking jackets were often fashioned with quilted silk collar and cuffs for extra warmth.
Today, a dressing gown adds the finishing touch to the perfect outfit of a chill-out evening or relaxed weekend. It makes an outstanding look for a relaxed breakfast or for welcoming visitors at home.
